 Chapter 6 Emily gazed out the viewport of the shuttle, marveling at the blue and green orb growing larger by the second. Earth. After centuries of separation, humanity's cradle was once again within reach. She pressed her hand against the thick glass, as if trying to touch the planet itself. Emily's heart hammered in her chest, a visceral mix of excitement and anxiety churning within. The Forgotten Odyssey: Chapter 4

 Chapter 4 Emily's breath came in ragged gasps as she sprinted down the dimly lit corridor, Lena's footsteps echoing close behind. The wailing sirens and pounding boots of the security forces pursuing them rang out all around, the sound dampened by the thick metal walls of the Odyssey. They careened around a corner, nearly slamming into a small group of frightened inhabitants gathered there. "Go, run!" Emily cried out, waving them down an adjacent hall. The inhabitants fled without question, disappearing into the maze of corridors. Emily and Lena continued their desperate flight, but the heavy stomp of boots behind them was growing louder. There would be no escaping the soldiers this time. As they passed a familiar intersection, Emily grabbed Lena's arm and yanked her sideways. "This way, quickly!" she hissed, pulling Lena down the dim passage. After a few twists and turns, Emily stopped at a small utility door, typed a code into the keypad, and slipped ...

 Chapter 9 The station orbiting Earth was tense as Emily's forces stood at the ready, preparing to repel Kane's unauthorized resettlement ships that were closing in fast. Across the vast emptiness of space, Lena and Ari were both scrambling desperately to find some way, any way, to avert the impending battle. Emily had already made countless pleas for peace, urging Kane to halt his approach and turn back his formidable armada, but her warnings had gone unheeded. Now, with the clock ticking down to disaster, there seemed no hope left of avoiding violent confrontation. "I implore you, do not force my hand in this matter," Emily urged the Council members, her voice strained with frustration. "Withdraw your defensive forces and allow Kane passage.
